Morris Humphreys per ship Captain Cook, assigned to Francis Little Esq., charged with disobedience.....I Francis Little declare on oath that on Sunday morning last, I sent a message to Morris Humphreys whose duty it was to water the horses to take Mr. Forsyths horse to water which I was given to understand he refused to do. Therefore I was under the necessity of directing another person to do so....Thomas Rhodes states - I am house servant to Mr. Little and on Sunday morning last I went by my masters orders to tell Morris Humphreys to take Mr. Forsyths horse to water. I did not hear what he said when I told him but other servants on the establishment who were nearer to him heard him say that he would not go and he did not go, and I sent another man to take the horse. The Bench find the prisoner guilty and sentence him not to be recommended for his ticket of leave until six months after the usual period

Patrick Kelly per ship Captain Cook, assigned to Thomas Bell Esq., charged with insolence and threatening language. Samuel Owens states - I am overseer to Mr. Bell and on Thursday night last I went to the station where the prisoner is employed as a shepherd. I was standing at the hurdles when the prisoner came to me with a piece of beef in his hand and asked me how it was I had not brought the cows out - before I had time to answer him he said this is bloody pretty meat and threw it down among the sheep dung. I told him to pick it up again and if he thought it was not good I would give him a pass to the Bench - on the following night as I was riding home from the station, he asked me when I was going to give him a bed. I told him when he got a civil tongue. He began to abuse me and said he did not care a bugger about going to court. I did not intend to bring him to court but he was so insolent I was obliged to do so. The rest of the men received meat from the same bullock and the same cask and not a single complaint has been made....The prisoner states nothing his defence to in extenuation of his crime. The Bench find the prisoner guilty and sentence him to receive thirty lashes
